This post is all about quick and easy weekly cleaning schedule.
Ever since I bought a house, cleaning has become a much more involved process than it was when I lived in an apartment. A house is much bigger which means there are so many more rooms to clean and it can start to feel overwhelming.
I need my house to be clean or my mind will start to feel cluttered and unhappy, so I knew I needed to come up with a weekly cleaning schedule that I could stick to.
If this is how I feel about cleaning my house, then surely there are more out there who feel the same way, so I wanted to share my weekly cleaning schedule with you too that has helped to save me so much time and has allowed me to keep a very clean and tidy home.
I’m sharing with you my weekly cleaning schedule that keeps my house super clean week after week.
This post is about quick and easy weekly cleaning schedule.
Weekly Cleaning Schedule:
1. Pick up all dirty clothes & bed sheets and throw them in the laundry
Laundry takes the most time so I like to get that started right away. The room also instantly feels cleaner once you pick up any dirty clothes and laundry which is a great way to start and motivate yourself to keep going. Don’t forget bath and kitchen towels!
2. Pick up any garbage or loose items lying around and put them away
Usually once all the laundry is picked up, that only leaves a few other items that may need to be tidied up.
3. Wipe down the bathroom
Next, I like to wipe down the bathroom sink and mirror. You’d be surprised how quickly these things get filthy. Then I wipe down my toilet including the handle.
4. Now the kitchen
Once the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are in good shape, I go to the kitchen.
First, I do all of the dishes to make sure there’s nothing on the counters. Then I use my absolute favorite product that I rave about all the time, The Original Bees Wax, to clean my countertops and then the stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove).
Once all that’s done, it’s always nice to light a candle because there’s just something about a clean kitchen and a lit candle. Am I the only one?🙂
5. Empty the garbage
Now I gather all the garbage from each room and take it out to the bin, then replace all trash bags in each trash can.
6. Clean the floors
The last thing to do is the floors. I’ll sweep and mop the kitchen, then I’ll vacuum all the carpet upstairs and down.
7. Lastly, finish the Laundry
Once the laundry is done, I’ll make the bed, fold the laundry and put it away. And THAT’S IT!
