This post is about the most forgotten wedding registry items.
So you’ve thought about things you will need to begin married life together and have built your wedding registry, but could you be forgetting anything?
We all of that fear that we have forgotten something but don’t know what, so I’ve put together a list of the most overlooked wedding registry items every couple needs so you won’t forget.
This post is all about the most forgotten wedding registry items.
Most Forgotten Wedding Registry Items:
New Bedding
It sounds simple but many couples don’t think to add new bedding to their registry because they already have it.
But let me tell you, there is nothing like starting your new life together with a fresh pair of sheets and bedding to get into bed to the first night. Plus the new look can be a great refresh.
So go ahead, add it to your registry!
My favorite is this sheets set from California Design Den.
And I’ve always loved this duvet set from Pottery Barn.
I swear by this duvet insert to go with the duvet cover. And pro tip, always size up! So if you get a queen duvet, get a king duvet insert.
New Bath Towels
It’s the same idea as the sheets. You may already have bath towels but why not get a brand new set to start over with and enter your new life in total luxury.
I love the ribbed bath towels from the Threshold brand at Target.
Quality Knife Set
If you or your partner love to cook, then don’t forget a new knife set. For some reason this one is often forgotten but is so crucial for a wedding registry. New knives can be expensive so it’s a great thing to add to the registry.
I have this self sharpening set by Zwilling and absolutely love it!. Steak knives are purchased separately.
Cast Iron Skillet
You may have remembered to put a new set of pots and pans to your registry, but what about a cast iron skillet?
If you don’t have one already, now’s the perfect time to ask for one!
Pillow Inserts
You’d be surprised how many pillow inserts I’ve needed since getting married! You may not realize it at the time, but when you move into a house, you will have several rooms and all deserving of some nice accent pillows!
These inserts from Amazon are the BEST.
Oil Diffuser
I seriously cannot live without mine! It’s not something you’d normally think of when building your registry, but you’ll be so glad you did! You’re welcome!
I have the Pore salt rock oil diffuser and it is the coziest and cutest one out there in my opinion!
Cleaning Products
Literally no one asks for cleaning products on their registry, but why not?!
I had to buy so many after getting married and moving into a new house. And it adds up, trust me! Ask for things like laundry detergent, garbage disposal cleaner, dishwasher cleaner, the original bees wax polish and more.
I wrote a post about my favorite cleaning essential products you can read here if you’re unsure what to get.
Picture Frames
After your wedding, you will have TONS of incredible photos you’re gonna want to hang up.
Add some frames to your registry and you’ll be ready to go once those gorgeous photos come in.
I have my wedding photo in black and white in this frame from Target, and I’m OBSESSED.
Salt and Pepper Mills
These are just a sweet little luxury to add to your registry that you’ll be so glad you did for years to come.
Most couples do not think to add salt and pepper mills, so now you have!
Lawn Care Items
This is probably one of the biggest expenses you will have once you say I do and move into a home together. Unless you’re living in an apartment, these are a few things you’ll definitely need for your home together.
- shovel
- Grass fertilizer
- Wheel barrel
- Power tools
- Tool kit
- Rake
- Leaf bag
Tool Set and Organizer
Along the same lines as earlier, if you don’t already have it, don’t forget to ask for a tool set and organizer.
Laundry Hamper
So many couples forget to add a laundry hamper to their registry, but it’s a definite must! If you have one, consider replacing it with something new and fresh.
I love use this one from Target and absolutely love it!
Cooking and Grilling Thermometers
This is just one of those things you don’t realize you need it until you need it.
Go ahead and pop that baby on your registry.
Grill Tool Set
If you plan on grilling a lot, you will need a grill set.
Luggage
If you plan on traveling a lot (starting with the honeymoon), be sure to add a luggage set to your wedding registry!
Food Processor and Blender
I use my food processor and blender all the time. Think smoothies and an easier time chopping.
Don’t let this one slip through the cracks.
Ceramic Dutch Oven
Every household needs a quality ceramic Dutch oven. If you do not have one yet, do yourself a favor by adding this one item.
They’re so versatile and big enough to cook just about anything.
Area Rugs
A lot of people don’t think to add things like area rugs and accent pieces to their registry, but it’s a great idea. More than likely you will need at least one and so go ahead and add it to the list.
Electronic Garbage Can
You will certainly need a kitchen garbage, and my husband and I are obsessed with this electronic garbage can. It looks so nice in the kitchen and is completely hands free.
Photo Album
You will be so glad you have some nice, timeless classic photo albums that you can fill with all your memories and wedding photos. These photo books from Amazon are so simple and elegant and would look amazing on a coffee table or anywhere in sight.
